Criminal Investigations Bureau

The Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) is designed and administered to investigate and suppress all violations of law relating to Homicide, Sex Crimes, Family Violence, Financial and Cyber Crimes. The bureau also includes the Computer Forensics Detail and the Crime Analysis Unit. CIB is led by a Lieutenant who is administratively responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bureau. CIB is comprised of over sixty sworn and professional staff who work cooperatively with county, state, and federal agencies to solve crime and safeguard the public. CIB is located at Sheriff's headquarters in the City of Santa Ana.
