Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Operation Planned for San Clemente

San Clemente, Ca. (February 27, 2024): – The Sheriff’s Department will take part in a bicycle and pedestrian safety enforcement operation aimed at educating bicyclists, drivers and pedestrians on traffic laws, rules, and responsibilities.

In July of 2021, deputies were involved in a use of force in the City of San Clemente. The Use of Force was determined to be within policy.

20-010 Sustained Dishonesty

In January of 2020, a deputy was found to be dishonest in the performance of duty. The employee was terminated in December 2021. The employee was awarded his job back through arbitration in March 2022.
