On October 8th, 2018, a Deputy was involved in a use force, which was determined to be outside of policy.  The deputy received discipline.

In March of 2023, a former reserve Deputy was found guilty by a jury trial and sentenced to prison for sexual assualt.  The reserve had previously separated in April of 2021.  However, an in internal investigation resulted in the of his POST disqualification.

In June of 2023, Deputies were involved in a shooting, resulting the death of a suspect.  An independent review by the Orange County District Attorney's office found no evidence of criminal culpability from the deputies.
