In-Custody Death - April 13, 2023

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, 37-year-old Brian Schaar from Los Angeles, CA who was housed at the Intake Release Center in Module L died at Orange County Global Medical Center, Santa Ana. 20-010 Sustained Dishonesty

In January of 2020, a deputy was found to be dishonest in the performance of duty.  The employee was terminated in December 2021.  The employee was awarded his job back through arbitration in March 2022.
