On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, 50-year-old Jason Williams from Costa Mesa, CA housed at the Central Men’s Jail in Module F died at Orange County Global Medical Center, Santa Ana.  At the time, Williams was awaiting trial. At the conclusion of the Orange County District Attorney’s independent investigation, Williams's manner of death was determined to be natural, and his cause of death was identified as hemopericardium due to aortic dissection and hypertensive cardiovascular disease. On Friday, January 5, 2024, an Orange County Jail inmate housed at the Intake Release Center in Module K died at Orange County Global Medical Center, Santa Ana. The decedent is a 28-year-old Hispanic female who was sentenced and awaiting to be released from custody at the end of the month.  The decedent's manner and means of death are awaiting final determination by the Orange County Coroner.

On Thursday, January 11, 2024, an inmate was remanded into Orange County Sheriff’s custody via bedside arraignment at the Orange County Global Medical Center.  On Sunday, January 14, 2024, the inmate died while still receiving medical care and prior to being housed in the Orange County Jail.  The decedent is a 34-year-old white male who was awaiting trial.  The decedent's manner and means of death are awaiting final determination by the Orange County Coroner.

On Friday, January 26, 2024, an Orange County Jail inmate housed at the Central Men’s Jail in Module C died while inside custody. The decedent is a 57-year-old Hispanic male who was awaiting trial.  The decedent's manner and means of death are awaiting final determination by the Orange County Coroner.”

On Monday, February 5, 2024, an Orange County Jail inmate housed at the Central Men’s Jail in Module D died at the Orange County Global Medical Center, Santa Ana. The decedent was a 41-year-old white male who was awaiting arraignment.  The decedent's manner and mode of death are awaiting final determination by the Orange County Coroner.
